Pavise

A wooden pavise for your samurai models, with embossed/engraved clan symbols. Wooden pavises, or tate, were used by feudal-era infantry as protective shields from enemy arrows. They were large enough for one or two soldiers to take shelter behind, and were used by archers and ashigaru alike. The stand at the rear could be planted in the ground to create a stable barrier, or it could be carried in one hand. They could also be hung atop castle walls to provide extra cover.

You can choose from 3 patterns (blank, striped, or with clan symbol), so please let us now in your order's comments which clan you would prefer.

Printed in PLA plastic (usually grey) at 0.2mm layer height. This model comes unassembled and unpainted. Due to the nature of FDM printing some layer lines may be visible, but are mostly invisible after painting. You can sand and file down prints to achieve a smoother finish if required before painting.
