FAQs
3D Printing:
What is 3D printing?
3D printing is a low-cost method of creating objects out of plastic. If you have ever used a hot glue gun, it's a similar idea - the plastic is pushed through a tube and melted at a high temperature onto the top of the object, layer by layer. Unlike a hot glue gun, the precision of a 3d printer is much, much greater!
Can I request a custom order?
Yes. We are able to 3D print a wide variety of objects, so please contact us with details of what you're looking for. Many thousands of great 3D printable items are available for free download from Thingiverse.
Do you offer 3D modelling?
Yes. We have years of experience in 3D modelling, and the items we offer on our online store are all our own designs. We can also offer product prototyping. A prototype is a replica of a product which is used as an early model to test your product and get feedback from stakeholders before they can invest in your idea. Please contact us with details of what you're looking for.

What payment methods are available?
Payment may be made by credit card through Stripe, or by Japanese bank transfer. Credit card transactions are handled online by Stripe Co. Ltd., and we will never have direct access to your credit card information.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is 1000 yen anywhere in Japan, and orders totalling more than 10,000 yen have FREE shipping.
How long will my order take?
We are a print on demand service. Once your order is placed, it will be placed into the queue to print. Depending on the size of the order and models purchased, it can take a few days to print. We aim to ship within 2 weeks. We will let you know about estimated completion and shipping dates.
Do you accept international orders?
Currently we don't offer shipping outside Japan. However, there are several partner stores around the world offering these printed models to international destinations.
Please see this list of partner stores.
What's your Returns policy?
We gladly accept returns and exchanges, so please contact us within 7 days if you have any problems with your order. Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. We are unable to accept cancellations for custom or personalized orders once they have been printed.

We offer our models in a variety of common scales.
- 40mm / 1:43 scale - for large diorama models
- 32mm / 1:56 scale - for wargaming models
- 28mm / 1:64 scale - for wargaming models (also used for our product photos)
- 20mm / 1:72 scale - for wargaming and display models
- 18mm / 1:87 scale - HO-scale railroad models
- 15mm / 1:100 scale - for wargaming models
- 10mm / 1:160 scale - N-scale railroad models
Please note that not every model is available in every scale - sometimes certain models are not practical to produce in very small or very large scales.
Are there assembly guides?
Yes. PDF assembly instructions are available for all of the more complicated terrain models in our store. You can view them here.
What glue should be used?
3D-printed models are slightly different from injection-moulded models cut from sprues. We print in PLA, which is a non-toxic biodegradable plastic.
We recommend taking some time to remove excess bits of plastic (the brims around the bottom edges) with a modelling knife or cutters. Any stray strings or webs can be removed with a quick pass fom a lighter's flame. 3D printing may leave very faint horizontal lines on models, from the layering of the plastic as the model is built up. Your models may benefit from a quick rub with fine sandpaper (400 grit or finer) along the edges to smooth surfaces.
Some of our models are designed to have multiple parts joined together. You might prefer to smooth over the joints between panels, and this can be accomplished quite easily using filler.
Finally, terrain models printed with PLA filament can be assembled with superglue. We recommend a brush applicator with superglue, to minimise unwanted mess.
What paints should be used?
We recommend water-based acrylic paints, such as those produced by Games Workshop, DecoArt, and Tamiya. We also recommend undercoating your models with a spray undercoat, prior to painting. PLA plastic is prone to warping in extreme heat, so please avoid leaving models in direct sunlight on a hot day.
